This is will Gracie's birthday! Just found out that I am being induced tomorrow morning! YIPPEE!! I"m excited, scared, elated, terrified...all of the above. Buyt mostly, I"m anxious and thrilled to meet this little baby girl. We'll keep you posted........

Bedrest--Day 2
Yes, that is correct. I have been put on bedrest due to high blood pressure. Friday was my last day at work and now I'm just trying to take it easy before the baby comes. Throughout the pregnancy, my blood pressure has been an issue but over the last couple of weeks it has gotten too high. There is also protein my urine.
At my regular appt several weeks ago, the doctor told Dave and I that if my protein levels got too high and if my blood pressure kept rising, they were going to induce me. Well, it seems as if that time is here. At yesterday's appt, my BP was 150/90 which was elevated. My protein levels when I first become pregnant were 112, last month they were 302 and now they are 432. I have no idea what that really means except that it's high. I have a Non Stress Test on Thurdsay were they will also do a blood test to check my liver function.
Overall, I feel fine and little baby Gracie has been moving all over the place. Her heartrate has been perfect and she frequently kicks Mommy in the ribs and jumps on her bladder! Dave and I are a little dissappointed that it appears I will not be able to carry her to term but we are a little happy to be able to meet her a bit early! I will keep everyone posted!
Dave and I bought a new camera this weekend and Dave has been taking some awesome pics of the nursery. I will post soon!

More pics!
I have taken some more pictures! Here is my belly shot at 33w5d...it just keep growing!
Next, our Baby Bjorn! The English Department at work threw me a surprise baby shower and this was one of the gifts! I was really touched by what they did for me!
Lastly, our stroller! Mom surprised me last weekend saying, "Let's go shopping! Oh, and by the way, we're going to get your stroller!" Dave and I couldn't believe it! They have been so generous. Now, we pretty much have everything we need...just waitin' on baby! Enjoy!

Latest Picture of our Gracie Girl
Here she is! We had our final 3D ultrasound on Saturday, March 31st and got some awesome pictures of our little one. It's amazing that in just 7 short weeks we'll be welcoming her into our home. I think we're ready?!?!?!?
